Course Overview
Morning Lecture
Simplification with predictability in crown and bridge seems hard to achieve unless you have materials and techniques that work in synchronicity. This program will present systems of impressioning and temporization that lead to increased productivity and time savings with less clinical variability. These systems will facilitate insertion of crown and bridge restorations and veneers with minimal time spent. Also discussed will be tissue management and how various haemostatic agents affect polyvinyl siloxane materials and subsequent bonding.
Afternoon Hands-On
The afternoon will be a hands on temporization course, with the fabrication of a putty reduction matrix, a single crown temporary, six anterior veneer temporaries, and a re-inforced bridge which will be custom stained if time allows.

**A component of Esthetic Dentistry Courses
The goal of the University of Toronto Esthetic Dentistry courses is to provide participants with a logical and insightful perception as to how to examine, treatment plan and deliver dentistry to their patients that is functional, esthetic and optimally maintainable.
The courses will be run in logical progression in order to give each practitioner insight, perception, and the vision to achieve their restorative esthetic goals. Treatment planning and working with a dental team of specialists is stressed. Although there is no way to learn everything in just seven sessions, participants will acquire the fundamentals and direction to continue their quest for dental excellence.
Participants who successfully complete seven courses in a period not exceeding three years from the date they begin this program will receive a certificate from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry Continuing Dental Education. This certificate will not confer specialty status nor is it meant to infer superior qualifications but is recognition of the dentist’s participation in this Continuing Dental Education program. Each of the programs will take place on a Friday and Saturday in Toronto. Each course will consist of a full day lecture on Friday followed by hands-on participation on Saturday to allow the participant to fully understand and practice what they have learned the previous day.

Biographies
Dr. Leendert (Len) Boksman is a 1972 graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. After private practice in Burlington, Ontario until 1979, Dr. Boksman joined the Division of Operative Dentistry at Western where he obtained the rank of Associate Professor with Tenure. He was the first international Editorial Board member for REALITY Magazine and has been a consultant with 3M/ESPE and Caulk/Dentsply for over 25 years. Len received his Fellowship in the Academy Dentistry International (F.A.D.I.) in 1984 and a Fellowship in the International College of Dentists (F.I.C.D.) in 2003. Dr. Boksman has published over 80 articles in refereed dental journals and textbooks with numerous lectures internationally. He is currently the Director of Clinical Affairs for Clinical Research Dental and Adjunct Clinical Professor at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario.
Gregg Tousignant, CDT graduated Dental Technology from George Brown College in 1992, Certified Dental Technician since 1994 fromthe National Board for Certification in the USA. He has worked for 13 years as a dental technician, was Certified as an Instructor for Heraeus Kulzer where he provided a number of hands-on programmes for indirect composites and denture injection systems. Gregg currently provides lectures and hands-on courses for both the General/Cosmetic dentist as well as dental and hygiene schools across Canada. Course topics include ToothWhitening, Impressioning, Temporization, Direct Veneer Colour Change including the invisible Class IV restoration and the Sensitivity Free Direct Posterior Composite. He has also been published in Oral Health and the Journal of the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Gregg is currently serving as Technical Support Manager for Clinical Research Dental where he provides technical support and hands-on courses consistent with the Company's philosophy, Teaching Better Dentistry.
