Morning
Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
- Understanding how to interpret and classify periodontal attachment loss and arrive at a reliable and reproducible prognosis for treatment.
- Unraveling the countless procedures and options available to repair or regenerate lost periodontal tissue.
- Developing treatment algorithms that can be incorporated into the general practice office from hygienist to dentist.
- Achieving confidence when finally arriving at a hopeless prognosis for a tooth.
Afternoon
Periodontics and Dental Implants: How to achieve optimal esthetic and functional results
- Advantages and disadvantages of various ridge preservation techniques including a review of bone augmentation parameters, materials and success data.
- Maximizing esthetics through surgical and restorative techniques to compensate for inadequate hard and soft tissues.
- Maintenance and dealing with implant related complications and disease.

Biography
Dr. Yair Lenga graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, where he received his general dental degree as well as specialty training in Periodontics and a Master's degree in tissue-healing physiology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada and the American Academy of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Lenga’s experience includes all periodontal and reconstructive procedures including bone regeneration and periodontal plastic surgery. He is skilled in a variety of dental implant devices and associated procedures including bone grafting and sinus lifts and has completed a hospital-based fellowship in anesthesia. Dr. Lenga also holds a position in the Chronic Facial Pain clinic at Mount Sinai Hospital and is a part-time anesthesia instructor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Lenga maintains a full-time private practice in Toronto.
