Orthodontic complaints appear to be on the rise. How to protect yourself when incorporating orthodontics into your general practice.

Case Discussion
A discussion regarding the treatment of real cases. Participants are invited to bring along projectionable pre-treatment records for discussion.

Dr. James Posluns
Dr. James Posluns received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1991 both from the University of Toronto. He completed a year-long dental internship program at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and received his general practice license from the RCDSO in 1992.
Following four years of general practice in both the private and public sector, Jim entered the diploma program in orthodontics at the University of Toronto and was granted a specialty license following successful completion of the program in 1998. In 2004, he completed a Masters of Education degree at the Ontario Institute for the Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto where he oversees the academic and clinical component of the Undergraduate Orthodontic program and is a clinical instructor in the Graduate Orthodontic program. Dr. Posluns holds a Fellowship from, and is an examiner for, the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is a Past President of the Toronto Orthodontic Study Club, the Ontario Association of Orthodontists and is an active member of the American, the Canadian and the Ontario Associations of Orthodontists. Jim is on the Board of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists and is eligible for certification with the American Board of Orthodontists. He maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics in midtown Toronto where he treats adults, adolescents and children.
When not at work, Jim would rather be sailing.
